Atlanta United will learn its first opponent in the CONCACAF Champions League when the draw is held Dec. 9 in Mexico City.

The draw will be televised in the U.S. on Univision.

Atlanta United qualified to compete in the tournament for the second consecutive year by winning the U.S. Open Cup.

Earlier this year, in its first appearance in the Champions League, Atlanta United defeated Herediano of Costa Rica and was knocked out by Mexico power Monterrey.

Fourteen other clubs have qualified (with country) for 2020: Montreal Impact (CAN), AD San Carlos (CRC), Deportivo Saprissa (CRC), Alianza FC (SLV), Comunicaciones FC (GUA), CD Olimpia (HON), FC Motagua (HON), Portmore United FC (JAM), Club America (MEX), Club Leon (MEX), Cruz Azul FC (MEX), Tigres UANL (MEX), Los Angeles FC (USA) and New York City FC (USA).

The last slot will go to the MLS Cup winner.

The 2020 tournament will again feature home-and-home games in each round.

Feb. 18-20 First leg round of 16

Feb. 25-27 Second leg round of 16

March 10-12 First leg quarterfinals

March 17-19 Second leg quarterfinals

April 7-9 First leg semifinals

April 14-16 Second leg semifinals

April 28-30 First leg final

May 5-7 Second leg final
