Atlanta United will host Chicago in the fifth round of the U.S. Open Cup on June 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Atlanta United defeated Charleston 3-0 on Wednesday at Kennesaw State’s Fifth Third Bank Stadium to advance in the tournament. Chicago advanced by defeating Columbus 10-9 on penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw on Wednesday.
Should Atlanta United defeat Chicago and advance to the Round of Eight, it will host that game on July 18.
The teams have played once this season during MLS play. Atlanta United won 2-1 at Toyota Park on May 5 on goals from Ezequiel Barco and Josef Martinez.
Following its victory over Charleston, Atlanta United was put into the Mideast region of the tournament with Chicago, and USL sides Louisville City and Nashville. Louisville will host Nashville in the other regional game.
Atlanta United season ticket members will receive tickets as part of their season package. Single match tickets start at $28 and will go on sale here, at 9 a.m. Friday.
