Atlanta United’s Hector Villalba returned to Atlanta after experiencing pain in his abductor muscle.

The midfielder was with the team in its training camp in Florida, but didn’t participate in practices. He returned to Atlanta mid-week to have the pain examined. Back in Atlanta, he posted a photo on Snapchat.

The team doesn’t consider the injury to be serious and said there’s no timetable on his return.

Villalba, 23, scored 13 goals and added 11 assists in 34 appearances last season.

Atlanta United will play its first exhibition game at Nashville SC on Feb. 10. It will play its first regular-season game at Houston on March 3.
