Atlanta United President Darren Eales said he hopes to hire the personalities that will broadcast Atlanta United’s game within the next few weeks.
The club and Fox Sports South announced a multi-year partnership Tuesday . The group will work its first game at Toronto on April 8 .
Eales said they hope to hire three people to work the games: a play-by-play announcer, an analyst and a sideline reporter.
Eales said he will hire someone with previous experience working soccer for the play-by-play person. He would prefer that the analyst have experience in MLS.
Most of all, Eales said he wants professionalism.
“People at the top of their games in terms of broadcasts,” Eales said. “It’s like putting together a team. You have to make sure they complement each other.”
The play-by-play person and analyst also will be part of the weekly studio show and pregame and postgame shows for the team.
