Atlanta United’s starting 11 for Saturday’s game against Columbus in the Carolina Challenge Cup in North Charleston, S.C.:

Atlanta

Goalkeeper: Alec Kann

Right fullback: Tyrone Mears

Centerhalf: Michael Parkhurst

Centerhalf: Leandro Pirez

Right fullback: Greg Garza

Defensive midfielder: Jeff Larentowicz

Defensive midfielder: Chris McCann

Attacking midfielder: Josef Martinez

Wide midfielder: Hector Villalba

Wide midfielder: Miguel Almiron

Striker: Kenwyne Jones

The big change from last week is shifting Almiron from inside to wide, with Martinez coming inside.

The formation could be either a 4-2-3-1, 4-1-4-1, or 4-2-2-2, as odd as that sounds. It depends upon if Martinez is playing as a second striker or central midfielder.

Inactives: Asad (calf), Zach Loyd (groin), Carlos Carmona (travel), Anton Walkes (travel), Romario Williams (travel), Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu, Alex Tambakis, Mikey Ambrose, Chris Goslin and Brandon Vazquez.

Columbus’ starting 11:

Goalkeeper: Zack Steffen

Defenders: Nicolai Naess, Lalas Abubakar, Jukka Raitala.

Midfielders: Mohammed Abu, Justin Meram, Federico Higuain, Ethan Finley and Wil Trapp.

Forwards: Adam Jahn and Connor Maloney.
