Atlanta United striker Josef Martinez was named the MLS Player of the Month on Friday.

Martinez was honored because he scored nine goals and added an assist in five games in July. He also scored the lone goal for the All-Stars in Wednesday’s game against Juventus.

Martinez has 24 goals this season and needs just four more to break the league’s single-season goal record. Atlanta United will host Toronto on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta United leads MLS in points (47).

Martinez faced stiff competition in the voting from L.A. Galaxy striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic (6 goals, 3 assists) and Minnesota United’s Darwin Quintero (6 goals, 6 assists).
