Atlanta United said on Monday that has had discussions with several possible TV partners for its inaugural 2017 season in MLS.
The website Dirty South Soccer said that Fox Sports said it has had discussions with the team about being its TV partner. A Fox Sports spokesman confirmed that discussions have taken place. A call to the club hasn't been returned.
MLS requires its teams to have a TV broadcast partner to supplement its national network partners: ESPN, Fox and UniMas, valued at $90 million per year.
Fox Sports carries the Hawks, Braves and Dream teams whose seasons overlap would overlap with Atlanta United’s. The MLS regular season runs from March through October.
