Atlanta United's Jeff Larentowicz is dealing with a muscle injury and may not be available for Sunday's second leg of the Eastern Conference semifinals against NYCFC at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Manager Gerardo Martino said Friday that Larentowicz sustained the issue during last week’s game, which Atlanta United won 1-0 at Yankee Stadium. Martino said he couldn’t be more specific about the muscular issue. He said Larentowicz’s status will be decided before the game.

The winner of Sunday’s game will advance to the Eastern Conference finals.

Larentowicz, 35, was a key part of a midfield that limited the influence of NYCFC’s Maxi Moralez and striker David Villa. NYCFC was held without a shot on goal at home for the first time this season.

Should Larentowicz not be able to play, Martino could drop Darlington Nagbe back to play alongside Eric Remedi.

Other Atlanta United players not available for Sunday are Brandon Vazquez, Sal Zizzo and Mikey Ambrose.
