Atlanta United trained on Wednesday without several injured players in its first full session since Saturday's 2-0 loss at Columbus.

Not joining the team for drills on the field at the training ground in Marietta were winger Pity Martinez (hamstring), fullback George Bello (groin) and midfielder Kevin Kratz (calf). Pity Martinez ran before training. None of the players participated in Saturday’s loss.

Defender Franco Escobar sustained a mild adductor strain Saturday. It was his season debut after he suffered a shoulder injury on the first day of training in January. He didn’t train with the team on Wednesday. No timeline has yet been given on his return.

Captain Michael Parkhurst, who was ill part of last week, trained with the first team.

Centerback Florentin Pogba (hamstring) worked out.

MIdfielder Chris Goslin (knee) trained with Atlanta United 2.

Manager Frank de Boer last week said that he hoped the injured players could rejoin the team this week. Atlanta United’s (0-2-2) next game will be at New England on April 13.
