Atlanta United is interested in acquiring Mo Adams from Chicago, manager Frank de Boer said on Tuesday.

“What we have now, a lack of players, it could be a help if we have some fresh legs,” de Boer said.

Though Adams is a defensive midfielder, de Boer said they think he can also play fullback, which is a thin area for Atlanta United with Tuesday's news that Brek Shea is out for the rest of the season.

“I think he has also the qualities of a fullback with his pace and aggressiveness,” de Boer said of Adams. “Maybe not go down the line 100 times like Franco (Escobar), but he can still do a decent job.”

Adams, 22, has five starts as part of 10 appearances totaling less than 500 minutes this season.
