FLOWERY BRANCH -- Running back Jase McClellan, who has been slowed by injuries this season, was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday by the Falcons.

McClellan, who was taken in the sixth round (186th overall) of the draft out of Alabama, played in two games. He had 13 carries for 32 yards on the season. He had a foot injury earlier in the season, but recently has been dealing with a knee injury.

Carlos Washington Jr., who carried most of the rushing load in the exhibition season, was promoted from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.
