Falcons’ Brandon Copeland, Kendall Sheffield miss practice

Sept 2, 2021

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Falcons versatile linebacker Brandon Copeland, who plays inside and outside, and cornerback Kendall Sheffield were not at practice Thursday.

“We’ll just re-assess when we come back from over the weekend,” Falcons coach Arthur Smith said. “There are lot of different mechanisms that we can use now with the short-term (injured reserve), which we put Josh Andrews (broken hand) on, but we’ll just monitor those situations over the weekend.”

Sheffield has not practiced in weeks.

“Same thing that’s been going on for a while,” Smith said of the undisclosed injury. “It’s taken some time right now, but he should be getting close.”
