The Falcons signed cornerback Cornell Armstrong, a former sixth-round pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2018, to their practice squad Tuesday.

The Falcons released offensive lineman Rick Leonard and cornerback Chris Williamson from the practice squad.

Armstrong, who played at Southern Mississippi, played 15 games with the Dolphins in 2018, five with the Texans in 2019 and 10 with the Texans in 2020.

Armstrong, who’s 6-foot and 185 pounds, has played 137 defensive snaps and 505 special-teams snaps over his 30 NFL games.
