Former Falcons wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was released Wednesday by the Patriots.

Simple question, should the Falcons re-sign Mohamed Sanu?

Sanu, 31, caught 225 of 313 targets for 2,507 yards and 14 touchdowns while with the Falcons. He was traded to the Patriots for a second-round draft pick last season. The Falcons used that pick in the trade with Baltimore for tight end Hayden Hurst. The Ravens used the pick to draft former Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins.

The Falcons appear set at slot receiver with Russell Gage, but this year, teams can stash six “roster ready” veterans on the practice squad and Sanu already knows the system. He’d be insurance in case something happened at the wide receiver position.
