That didn’t take long.

Ronald Acuña quickly made good on a promise to Trae Young.

While being interviewed by Bally Sports’ Paul Byrd following the Braves’ series-sweeping 8-7 win at the Rockies on Sunday, Acuña said he would mimic the Hawks’ Young during his next home run trot.

He did so in his very next at-bat.

And the one after that.

Acuña homered in his first two plate appearances against the Athletics on Tuesday and, true to his word, he made the rubbing arms gesture that Young often does after making a big shot.

“Is there anything else you can pack into that home run trot?” Byrd asked during an on-field interview following the victory.

“I think I’m going to do the Trae Young ‘Ice Trae’ celebration next,” Acuña said through the Braves interpreter.

Acuña hit home runs in three straight at-bats. He had four hits against the Rockies on Sunday, including a 441-foot homer in the eighth inning. He led off the Braves’ first inning with a 435-foot homer on Tuesday and paid homage to Young. He hit a 464-foot homer in the third inning and made the gesture again.

“Well .. at least we know this will be soon !!,” Young posted on Twitter following Acuna’s declaration followed by #HomeRunKiller.

Minutes after Acuña made good on his promise, Young posted on Twitter “Told y’all it wouldn’t be long.”
