The Gwinnett Stripers finished the 2021 Triple-A season 71-58 after they were shut out 4-0 by the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Sunday at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville.

Gwinnett starter Tucker Davidson (L, 2-2) allowed one run off three hits in three innings. Jacksonville’s Isan Diaz later hit an RBI triple off Jay Flaa in the sixth inning, bringing the score to 2-0. The Jumbo Shrimp scored two more runs in the sixth inning with a pair of RBI singles, extending their lead to 4-0.

Stripers catcher Chadwick Tromp singled to begin the eighth inning, ending Daniel Castano’s no-hit bid. Castano allowed just two hits with two strikeouts in his eight scoreless innings.

Johan Camargo doubled in the ninth inning, going 1-for-4. He finished the season with a .326 batting average with 24 doubles, four triples, 19 homers, 70 runs and 67 RBIs.

Sean Kazmar Jr. finished 0-for-4 in his 750th career game with Gwinnett.

The Stripers finished 3-7 in the Triple-A Final Stretch postseason tournament (which pitted all 30 league teams in home-and-away matchups to determine a champion.)
