July 12, 2023

In his first All-Star at-bat, Murphy struck out on four pitches against Rangers starter Nate Eovaldi. Arizona rookie sensation Corbin Carroll then grounded out to first as the NL left two runners stranded.

Arcia led off to begin the third against Twins starter Sonny Gray. He grounded out to Rangers shortstop Corey Seager to end the five-pitch at-bat quietly.

Acuña then returned to the plate, striking out in four pitches against Gray.
