Braves, other MLB teams will wear caps supporting Parkland students

The Atlanta Braves and all other 29 Major League Baseball teams will wear caps during spring training games this weekend to support the community of Parkland, Fla., and the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School after the deadly Feb. 14 shooting at the high school, MLB commissioner Rob Manfred announced Tuesday.

A 19-year-old former student is accused of opening fire at the south Florida school, killing 17 students and faculty members .

The Braves open Grapefruit League play at 1:10 p.m. Friday against the New York Mets at Port St. Lucie - about 80 miles north of Parkland.
