After Alabama basketball defeated UCF 80-61 in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament, Athletic Director Greg Byrne trolled UCF with a tweet.

University of Central Florida Athletic Director and Vice President Danny White responded to Byrne’s initial tweet.

The ‘debate’ of national champion started when the Knights went undefeated during the 2017 season –– the only FBS team to do so –– while going on to defeat Auburn in the Peach Bowl.

After its undefeated season, UCF claimed a national championship.

Days after the Peach Bowl, Alabama defeated Georgia in the College Football Playoff Championship in overtime to win the College Football Playoff.
