The online lottery registration for this year's AJC Peachtree Road Race will open on March 15. Go to www.ajc.com/peachtree.
Entrants for the 44th running of the race will be randomly selected after registration ends at 11:59 p.m. March 22. All entrants will receive an email by March 25 informing them if they were or weren't selected.
Searchable results will be posted on www.peachtreeroadrace.org and www.ajc.com/peachtree on March 25.
The online lottery will allow as many as 10 people to enter as a group.
If a group is selected, everyone in that group will receive entry into the event with each individual put in the appropriate start wave based on their submitted finish time.
However, if a group is not selected, no one in that group will receive an entry. Individuals in groups will have an equal opportunity of getting into the event as those who enter as individuals. Those who enter the lottery and are not selected for the event in two consecutive years will receive guaranteed entry the following year.
Entry into the 10K event, which will be run on July 4, is $35 plus applicable online processing fees. Entrants may pick up their number on July 2 or July 3 at the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center. Or, they may pay a $10 fee to have it mailed.
