Updates from Falcons-Ravens primetime matchup
In third consecutive spotlight game, Falcons look to get above .500.
The Falcons are going for their third consecutive win and trying to stay on pace atop the NFC South division.
And it has been on display for everyone to see, as their turnaround has been well documented for a national TV audience. Following “Thursday Night Football” against the Packers and “Monday Night Football” with the Saints, the Falcons take on the Ravens on ”Sunday Night Football."
Ravens at Falcons
Kickoff: 8:20 p.m., Mercedes-Benz Stadium, Atlanta
TV: NBC
Records: Ravens 3-1; Falcons 2-2
Outlook: The Ravens will be without standout QB Lamar Jackson, who has an ankle injury. Tyler Huntley will start in his place.
As Penix goes, so go the Falcons
Michael Penix Jr.'s return has corresponded to the Falcons' success.
The passing game clicked. Drake London got more involved. Bijan Robinson and Brian Robinson became a better combo.
It all makes sense. Good offense makes a better defense. It's not rocket science, but how seamless things have been has been something to behold.
