4 first-time winners among 56 schools capturing GHSA football region titles

The defending champion won 29 of the 56 region championships.

Four schools won their first region titles this season. They were Jackson County (opened 1980), Locust Grove (opened 2009), Hebron Christian (first football season 2007) and Wheeler County (first season 1966). The defending champion won 29 of the 56 region championships. Ten others won most recently in 2023.
