The 19-year-old man suspected in a November homicide has been arrested, Atlanta police said Thursday.

Tavalas Randarius Beasley, of Atlanta, was identified March 17 as the man suspected of killing Dontavious Davis on Nov. 22, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. But Beasley had eluded capture until Thursday, Officer Kim Jones said.

The police department fugitive unit located Beasley, who was charged with murder and armed robbery and booked into the Fulton County jail, Jones said. Beasley is expected to make his first appearance at 11 a.m. Friday at the jail.

On Nov. 22, an officer responding to a call of gunshots fired found Davis on the ground of the courtyard of 3003 Middleton Road with a gunshot wound to the stomach, according to police. Five shell casting were found nearby and a bullet hole was seen in the door of a car parked in the lot there.

Davis was alert at the scene, but later died at the hospital.

No information was released about a possible motive in the case.
