Atlanta police have arrested a 60-year-old man following the shooting death of a 23-year-old at a southeast Atlanta townhome Monday.

The shooting suspect, Tony Stiles, knew the victim, identified as Joseph Bates, Atlanta police spokesman Officer Jarius Daugherty said in a statement Tuesday.

Police said the two men may have gotten in an argument about money at a townhome in the 400 block of Tufton Trail, prompting the shooting.

Bates was found shot in the chest and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Witnesses told police the alleged shooter left the scene in a vehicle.

Stiles was located by fugitive units and taken to the Fulton County Jail. He faces charges of felony murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, police said.
