How much U.S. cash do you think 35,000,000,000,000,000 dollars from Zimbabwe will get you?
How about not even enough cash to buy a value meal at your local fast food restaurant?
Next week, Zimbabweans will be heading to their banks, exchanging quadrillions of their country's currency, for a few dollars in U.S. cash as the government discards it's national currency, The Telegraph reported.
People with balances of up to 175 quadrillion Zimbabwean dollars, The Telegraph reported, will be paid, $5, U.S. More than 175 quadrillion will be paid at an exchange rate of $1 to 35 Zimbabwean dollars.
The last bank note printed by the Royal Bank of Zimbabwe was in 2008 and was in the amount of 100 trillion Zimbabwean dollars.
Despite that massive number, it was not enough to ride a bus to work for a week, The Telegraph reported.
Bloomberg reported the exchange will happen from June 15 until Sept. 30.
