The world’s shortest man, Chandra Dangi, has died.
Guinness World Records posted the news on its website, expressing condolences.
Dangi measured 21.5 inches tall.
There was some discrepancy regarding his age; some reports indicate Dangi was 75, other reports indicate he was 76.
According to The Wall Street Journal India, Dangi died at a hospital in American Samoa.
The Kathmandu Post reports that Dangi was being treated for pneumonia. The website also reported that Dangi was employed at a circus.
