A 54-year-old woman in India is recovering from serious injuries after fending off a leopard attack.
Kalama Devi says the leopard pounced as she walked through a field.
"I held the leopard with my hands, it then bit my hand and then left it... both my hands are in immense pain and I am not able to lift them up," she said, according to news reports.
The fight reportedly lasted half an hour and the woman was armed with just farm tools.
Devi said she pounded the leopard with a sickle until she ran out of energy, then limped to a nearby village for help.
She's now being treated for fractures, swelling, scratches and cuts to her skull.
