A 24-year-old Brazilian man died on a flight to Dublin, after he bit another passenger on board the plane.
Officials found that John Kennedy Santos Gurjau had ingested 80 wrapped pellets of cocaine. One of the pellets burst in his system, eventually killing him, The Irish Times reported.
Santos Gurjau boarded the flight in Lisbon, Portugal and became agitated during the flight.
Crew members restrained him with handcuffs. He then started to convulse and became unconscious.
Medical personnel who happened to be traveling on the flight tried to revive him until the plane landed at Cork Airport, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving in Ireland, The Irish Times reported.
Officials said Santos Gurjau bit one passenger on the hand. That passenger was taken to an area hospital, Mashable reported.
