Abdeslam was reportedly shot in the leg during the raid. He has been taken into custody.

The manhunt for Abdeslam has been intense since the Nov. 13 Paris attacks that killed 130 people.

3. His life before the Paris attacks: He once worked as a mechanic, then managed a family-owned bar. He also allegedly was involved in petty crime and known to local authorities before the Paris attacks.

4. His role in the attacks: It is believed  Abdeslam was involved in the logistics of the attacks, renting hotel rooms and cars for the attackers.

5. The manhunt: French and Belgian authorities tracked Abdeslam to Belgium, where there were some near-misses when it came to apprehending the suspect. But this week, anti-terror raids in Brussels finally caught up with Abdeslam.
