Auschwitz survivor Eva Mozes Kor embraced former Nazi concentration camp guard Oskar Gröning last week, and moving photos of the two have gone viral.
Kor, 81, was a witness in the trial against the 93-year-old Gröning, who is charged with 300,000 counts of accessory to murder, according to The Times.
The pair shook hands, and Gröning kissed Kor on the cheek.
"This shows that former enemies can get along as human beings," Kor reportedly said. "What on Earth do we want to tell the world? Killing each other has never created anything good. I want to teach young people that even former Nazis and survivors can get along."
