A massive sinkhole suddenly opened at a bus stop in China, swallowing five bystanders.

The event, which happened in the northeastern Chinese city of Harbin, was captured on surveillance video.

The bus stop sign was also swallowed by the sinkhole, according to a Chinese television station.

The victims were rescued from the approximately 10-foot-deep hole, and four of the five received minor injuries.

There was no immediate word on what caused the sidewalk collapse.
