Passengers on a flight between Singapore and Milan, Italy, had a harrowing experience after the plane's engine burst into flames.

Flight SQ368 took off this morning from Changi Airport. Two hours into the flight, the pilot returned to the airport after an engine oil warning message came on, CNN reported.

When the plane landed, the right engine burst into flames.

The fire was put out within minutes and all on board were evacuated, but had to wait on the plane until fire crews could douse the flames, "The Today Show" reported.

The fire was captured on cellphone video, "The Today Show" reported.

Passengers were to be transferred to a different flight to continue their trip to Milan, CNN reported.
