A dog in China miraculously survived being hit by a car, and then becoming stuck in the vehicle for more than 248 miles.
The driver, known as Mr. Zhang, struck the dog after it jumped out of some bushes but had no idea that the pup had become lodged in the bumper of his car.

"I was driving pretty quickly at the time so when I hit the dog, I thought it had either died or run away, so I didn't get out of the car to check," he said.
It wasn't until he heard barking that he stopped his car.
Shocked to see that the poor pup had been along for the ride for hundreds of miles, the man decided to drive several more miles down the road to get the dog to a vet.
"There was some distance between the dog and the water tank and its body was held tightly by the bumper," he explains, "I didn't dare to extricate it by myself. I thought it should be safe there, so I drove it all the way back to Loudi."
Amazingly, other than a few cuts, the doctors found the canine to be unharmed.
Zhang is now going to adopt the dog after their wild ride together.
"It escaped from great danger," he comments, "this really moved me. This shows my fate with the dog."
