A British woman is crediting giving up her favorite drink for helping her drop more than 100 pounds.

Sara Turner, at one time, weighed 245 pounds and drank more than 4 liters, or two large bottles, of Coca-Cola a day.

Turner told the Daily Mirror that she was addicted to the sugar-filled drink.

"I could drink Coke all day and not think of the effect it had on me," Turner said. "I was always tired and had no energy to do anything, but now, I can take my children out and run around in the park with them."

By taking the daily drink out of her diet, and the nearly pound of sugar it contained, she dropped down to 126 pounds, nearly half her previous weight, the New York Daily News reported.
