Billed as one of the most exclusive resorts on one of the most beautiful resort islands in the world, authorities found an American woman's body inside a suitcase Tuesday at St. Regis Resort in Bali.

And The Jakarta Globe reports police announced two arrests by Wednesday — the 62-year-old woman's teen daughter and her daughter's boyfriend.

American media outlets have relied heavily on foreign reports of what happened to Sheila von Weise Mack, but the story especially received a lot of attention in Chicago after reports surfaced she lived in the area.

Susanna Song, WBBM reporter: "Police say her daughter Heather and her daughter's boyfriend Tommy Schaefer brought down several suitcases, loaded them up in the trunk of a taxi, then went back inside the hotel. The taxi driver waited for two hours."

Lauren Petty, WMAQ reporter: "The local chief says the couple was tracked down at a hotel in a different tourist area. They are now under arrest for murder. The chief says Mack's half-naked body showed defensive wounds, that there had been a struggle."

CNN's affiliate in Indonesia Trans TV reported when police found the couple, they said an armed gang had taken them captive and killed Mack.

Police say security cameras captured the pair leaving through the beachside exit of the resort after dropping their luggage off at a taxi out front for checkout. They were found at another hotel only a few miles away. (Video via St. Regis Bali Resort)
