A woman was arrested last week after police said she crashed into a Clayton County home after having drinks at an Atlanta club.

Officers spoke with Zjakhaania Askew outside the home in the 7700 block of Fielder Road after the Sept. 20 crash. In a photo released Tuesday by police, Askew’s Nissan Sentra appeared to have wrecked underneath a wooden front porch, stopping just short of the front door.

“As officers conducted their investigation, they detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from Askew,” Clayton County police said on Facebook. “She first denied consuming an alcoholic beverage before operating her vehicle but later admitted she had drinks while at a club in Atlanta.”

According to police, Askew ran a stop sign and left the roadway before hitting the porch. No one inside the home was injured.

Askew was arrested on charges of DUI, failure to maintain lane, failure to stop at stop sign and driving while distracted. She appeared before a Clayton County Magistrate Court judge on Sept. 20 before her case was bound over to State Court.
