Hold on to your hats. Mother Nature’s not done with us yet.

After unleashing her icy fury this week, she’s still got a bit of wind left. Metro Atlanta is under a wind advisory until 5 p.m. today with winds expected to whip up to 25 mph throughout the day, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said. The strongest winds will hover over the north Georgia mountains where gusts at times will reach up to 35 mph.

Temperatures, meanwhile, are expected to climb into the 40s in metro Atlanta today. By Sunday, expect lots of sunshine. Winds will have died down and the metro area will see temperatures hit the upper 50s.
