Two White County teenagers were killed early Sunday when a car ran off a north Georgia road and into a creek.

The wreck apparently happened during the early morning hours of Sunday, but wasn’t discovered until shortly after 10 a.m., according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The GSP said Taylor Scott Swing, 18, of Cleveland, was northbound on Gene Nix Road when the vehicle he was driving ran off the road and into Town Creek, overturning and sinking in the creek.

Swing and his passenger, 16-year-old Cecily Mcree Hamilton, died the scene.
