So the USMNT's Atlanta game sold out, now what?
Since defeating Cuba 6-0 in the Gold Cup quartefinals in Baltimore, Maryland on Saturday July 18, the U.S. Men's National team has made its way to Altanta for its match against Jamaica in Atlanta on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Team manager, Jürgen Klinsmann tweeted this photo of his view of midtown Altanta on Monday night.
A few team members caught the Braves versus Dodgers game in Atlanta on Monday night too.
But now that the team is here and the game is closer, the struggle to buy tickets from random people on the internet is all too real.
There may be a giveaway here or there but really, since tickets to Wednesday night's Gold Cup semifinal sold out on Monday, chances of you getting a ticket at this point are slim to none.
But even if you don’t have upwards of $500 to secure yourself a seat in the stadium, there are still ways to show your national team spirit and celebrate the team’s first match in Atlanta since 1977.
For starters, USMNT is hosting a free FanHQ pre-party on Tuesday night at World of Coca-Cola. The party, which runs from 8p.m. to midnight, will feature a top Atlanta DJ and food and drinks for purchase. Attendees will also have full access to World of Coca-Cola.
There are plenty of other options to cheer on the USMNT as they take on Jamaica in the George Dome, Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Atlanta boasts three official USMNT soccer bars. Both Fado Irish Pub & Restaurant, 273 Buckhead Ave. NE, Atlanta, Georgia and Ri Ra Irish Pub, at 1080 Peachtree Street Atlanta, Georgia are official U.S. Soccer Bars.
The most recent addition being Park Bar, at 150 Walton St. NW, this could double as a pre-game pit stop and also a spot to bunker down for the entirety of the U.S. versus Jamaica game as well as the Panama versus Mexico game – which will also take place in the Dome later Wednesday night.
American Outlaws will also be hosting a pre-game party at Stats Bar, 300 Marrietta St. Atlanta Georgia 30313. The party will feature rooftop access, and Adidas room and Biergarten. It officially kicks off at noon on Wednesday and it's more than likely to continue through the end of both of Wednesday's matches.
If watching from home is more your thing, you can catch the game on Fox Sports.
