Could it really be that many mothers do not get their just due when it comes to gifts on Mother’s Day?

To wit, one colleague said she buys her own Mother’s Day gifts because her family ignores her wishes and gives her something she doesn’t want.

Another colleague is trying to atone for a particularly bad Christmas gift to mom – a clothes steamer.

The saddest story came from a “friend” of a coworker who says she buys cards on behalf of her husband, then gives them to him to sign and hand back to her!

So we’re curious, is it really that bad?

Tell us, what’s the worst or oddest Mother’s Day gift you’ve ever received?
