Our AJC colleague Katie Leslie caught up with Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed as he voted this morning. Reed predicted extra innings in the contests for U.S. Senate and governor:
"I think that both of them are probably headed for runoffs. I think Michelle Nunn has an opportunity to win it outright. But I think both of them are going to be headed to a runoff."
Additionally, the mayor was asked if he thought there would be much difference between working with a Gov. Nathan Deal than with a Gov. Jason Carter. Replied Reed:
"Not for me. I can't, three or four years later, make up facts that don't exist. The fact of the matter is, I've had a cooperative relationship with the governor of the state. So I can't get up here and act like it was some tough relationship. I think what people crave is authenticity. They just want you to tell the truth."
