VIDEO: Here’s how many refugees have entered the U.S. since Trump’s presidency
President Donald Trump has signed several executive orders including his controversial travel ban, which bars travelers from some predominantly Muslim countries. So how many people have entered the U.S. since his presidency?
During his first seven weeks, 7,594 came to America. About 3,400 were Muslims, nearly 3,300 were Christians, 821 were other and 71 were unaffiliated.
More than 2,000 of them were from the six banned countries: Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
When Trump signed the mandate in February, admissions completely stopped. But after it was suspended by the Federal Courts, it resumed again.
