The University of North Georgia has created an Ebola response committee. UNG President Bonita Jacobs says the committee will focus on education, personnel training, preparedness and coordination with external agencies as needed.

The committee is being chaired by Dr. Billy Wells, vice president for academic affairs, and includes representatives from several UNG divisions, including academic affairs, the school’s corps of cadets and environmental health and public safety officials.

Jacobs says while the chances of Ebola impacting the school are low, the committee will oversee execution of any needed response plan.
