Two Georgians make Fortune's Most Powerful Women list

Fortune Magazine released its 18th annual Most Powerful Women list this week — a list that spans diverse industries of entertainment, finance, retail and more. Of the 51 powerful women included are Georgians Rosalind Brewer and Ann-Marie Campbell.

Brewer — CEO and president of Sam's Club, Walmart — ranked 15 on the list. She received her undergraduate degree from Spelman College and earned her MBA at the Wharton School of Business at University of Pennsylvania.

At No. 37 is president of the Home Depot Inc.'s Southern Division, Ann-Marie Campbell. Campbell received both her undergraduate degree and her MBA at Georgia State University. Campbell started out as a part-time cashier for the company and climbed up the ladder to become a top executive.

Both Brewer and Campbell are among impressive company including CEO and Chairman of PepsiCo, Indra Nooyi, Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg and pop singer and technology industry disrupter, Taylor Swift.
