West-bound traffic on Interstate 285 on the north side is clogged even though a two-car accident earlier in the afternoon has been cleared.

The Department of Transportation said the traffic jam caused by the closing of three of five lanes at Ashford-Dunwoody Road stretches back to Spaghetti Junction.

According to Dunwoody police, one person in each of the two cars suffered non-life threatening injuries; a broken wrist and some soreness where the seat belt crossed one driver’s chest.

Officials didn’t know when traffic will begin to flow because rush hour was beginning just as the lanes were cleared.
