Two men have been arrested in connection with a Friday night armed robbery in Norcross.

Anthony Penick, 20, was charged with armed robbery and Ezekiel Boyd, 17, of Buford, was charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault, according to Gwinnett County police.

One of the suspects, masked and armed with a rifle, approached a man standing outside his Graves Road apartment and demanded money, according to police. After the other suspect, armed with a handgun, approached, the victim’s friend grabbed the rifle. The other suspect fired his handgun, shooting the victim in the stomach.

Police arrested Penick and Boyd after tracking them into nearby woods.

The victim was transported to Gwinnett County Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury, according to police.
