The nice, warm weather metro Atlanta saw Monday is expected to hold strong on Tuesday and continue through the rest of the week, according to the latest forecast.

“It’s going to feel like springtime here for the next several days all the way through the weekend,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan said.

The morning is off to a brisk start, with temperatures falling in the low and mid-30s. With cloudy skies overhead blocking the sun, you’ll feel every bit of that chilly weather.

However, the cold spell won’t last. Though the official start of spring is nearly two weeks away, the nice weather that’s on the way for the afternoon will have you double-checking your calendar.

“It’ll feel more like late March or early April, rather than the beginning of March,” Monahan said.

After the clouds part, the day will be mostly sunny and temperatures will climb to the predicted high of 72 degrees. Tuesday will be dry, with no chance of precipitation in the forecast.

The nice weather will continue through the remainder of the workweek and into the weekend, according to Monahan. A high temperature in the low or mid-70s is predicted each day through Sunday.
