A 29-year-old North Georgia woman was killed Tuesday morning in a one-vehicle crash in Cherokee County, a sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

Deputies responded shortly after 7:30 a.m. to Reinhardt College Parkway near Greeley Drive, said Sgt. Marianne Kelley of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of a Dodge Durango, Jennifer Allgood of Jasper, was pronounced dead at the scene, Kelley said.

The SUV was southbound on Reinhardt College Parkway when it left the road and hit a tree.

The investigation continues.
