A man was hit after his bicycle drifted into a highway near New Manchester High School, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

He could not stop the bike on Anneewakee Road, drifted onto the Ga. 166 Connector and was struck about 8:30 a.m. Monday, sheriff’s Deputy Bryan Wood said.

He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.

The man’s condition is unknown at this time.

Authorities have not released his name.
