Stone Mountain police are searching for a driver who hit and seriously injured a woman without stopping.

The woman, identified as Patricia Sabatelle, 66, of Stone Mountain, was hit by a white Dodge Charger in the 1000 block of Main Street about 3:35 p.m. Monday, police said.

When police arrived, Sabatelle was lying on the street. She was bleeding from her forehead and said she couldn’t move her arm, according to the incident report.

None of the people on the scene saw the incident, police said. A description of the car was given to police dispatch by an unknown caller.
